SportsBetting.ag is our top rated betting site for American players, including anyone living in Michigan or Ohio.
SportsBetting is one of the most popular and trusted sportsbooks serving the United States betting market. They are focused on the American market and this shows through with their bet offerings, deposits/withdrawals and customer service all geared towards American players.
SportsBetting accepts players from across the entire USA (with no state restrictions).
Sports Betting in Michigan and Ohio
Michigan launched regulated online sports betting in the state on the weekend of the Conference Championship games. There are now licensed sportsbooks available to take your Super Bowl bets in Michigan, both online and in-person.
In Ohio there is a placeholder bill expressing the intent to develop and enact legislation legalizing sports wagering, but it hasn’t progressed.
If you live in Michigan you also have the option to place your Super Bowl bets through established offshore betting sites. If you live in Ohio then betting through an offshore sportsbook is your only option.
Offshore betting sites are licensed and regulated outside of the USA and have served the United States betting market for the past two decades. SportsBetting falls into this category, being licensed and regulated in Panama, and accepting players from the USA, while having built a strong reputation and trust among American bettors.
Super Bowl 55 Odds
Let’s look at the betting lines for the Super Bowl.
Below I’ve included a screenshot of the odds for the three most common bets you can make on the Super Bowl. These odds are from SportsBetting.ag (odds taken on February 4th).
Point Spread
The spread has the Kansas City as 3 point favorites, which means the Chiefs would have to win by 4 or more for Chiefs spread bets to payout.
The Buccaneers are 3 point underdogs, so a spread bet on the Bucs would win if Tampa Bay wins the game or loses by 3 or fewer points.
If the Chiefs win by exactly 3 points then the point spread bets would push and be refunded.
Super Bowl Betting Lines
Money Line
A money line bet is simply wagering on which team wins the game.
The Chiefs have odds of -165, which means you’d have to risk $165 to win $100 betting on the Chiefs. The Bucs have +145 odds, which means a $100 wager on Tampa Bay would win $145.
Total Points
The Super Bowl total is set at 56. You can wager on the total points scored by both teams in the game being over or under this number.
